We are happy to report that we have met our school goal and have raised over $25,000 for our school!  We still do not have 100% participation of students registered in 2nd grade so please take a moment to register your child, it is completely FREE!  Each class will win a popcorn party if they get 100% participation by just signing up!

Book Character Dress Up Day!  

On October 31st we will allow students to dress up as a BOOK CHARACTER at school! Please be mindful to not have your child wear masks or bring props like swords or other weapons. Just a simple book character costume is needed.

Parent Engagement Family Night

We will host our first Parent Engagement Family Night on Wednesday, October 19^th at Denton Creek Elementary from 5:30 -6:30. All four elementary Title 1 schools are working together to host a night of learning. Families are invited to participate in learning stations focused on supporting learners with ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech Impairment, and Autism. Each station will be informative and interactive. Stations will last about 10 minutes with a scheduled rotation to allow for multiple learning experiences. In order for us to prepare seating and materials, please complete this sign-up form.

We are going on a Field Trip! 

Second grade is going to the Dallas Arboretum for our field trip. We are so excited to explore all that Autumn at the Arboretum has to offer! 

The field trip will be Friday, October 28th. Student admission is $12.00. Money is due by October 14th and you can pay by going to www.schoolpay.com.  We are ONLY TAKING PAYMENT VIA THIS WEBSITE and directions on how to pay were sent home with your child last week. If you need another copy, please let your child's teacher know.  

On the day of the field trip, please pack your child a disposable sack lunch, a disposable water bottle and comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. 

If you would like to chaperone, please e-mail your child’s teacher ASAP.  The admission is $15.00 for you, and there is an additional $15 to park (you are encouraged to car pool!)  You will pay for your admission via the same link but will pay for parking upon arrival.  Please make sure you have a current background check on file with the office; this must be done every year and takes about 2 weeks for the paperwork to be processed. Chaperones will be in charge of a small group during the field trip therefore we ask that you do not bring younger siblings.
