Happy Friday, 2nd Grade!!
We had a great short week together filled with lots of fun (Ask your child about Oobleck!!)
Mustang Time is starting NEXT WEEK!! Every day from 8:00-8:30 your child will be placed in an intervention group or extension group based on your child's needs. Students will work with different teachers during this time (or stay with same teacher) and might remain in the same group for a couple weeks, or longer.
Next week, we are learning:
Morning Meeting Focus: Following Directions
Reading: Identifying a Character and Their Traits; Writing a Summary
Writing: Continue crafting small moment narratives and comparing types of sentences
Math: Odd vs. Even, Patterns on a 100s Chart
Social Sciences: Physical Changes to Matter
Austin Library is needing your help!!
The Austin Library is looking for volunteers to help put returned books back on the shelves. There will be orientation and training, and you can pick the dates/times that work for you. To volunteer, please contact Stephanie Joslin at snjoslin@gmail.com
