2nd Grade Poetry Cafe!

FOR THE VALENTINES DAY PARTY, TEACHERS HAVE SENT HOME VALENTINE'S DAY BAGS TO BE DECORATED AND SENT BACK TO SCHOOL FOR THEIR VALENTINE'S DAY BAGS TO HOLD THE VALENTINES!!  The decorations don't need to be anything elaborate, just whatever your child decides for their bag. Some ideas we have seen before:

Your child is encouraged to bring a valentine for each child in their class! Please do not let your child only bring a valentine for a couple of their friends, we are wanting to make it equal and include everyone! The valentines can be a simple note, a candy, trinket, or any little valentine they choose to give their friends! 

How many students in each class: 

2A- Lortz- 19 kids

2B- Saxon- 19 kids 

2C- Cook- 17 kids

2D- Naragon- 20 kids 

A Note from The Room Moms: 

We are so excited for Austin Elementary's 2nd Grade Class Valentine's Day Parties! Parties will take place in individual classrooms on February 14th at 2:00-2:45 pm. We will have ice cream sundaes, open valentines and play a game if there's time!

2nd Grade Musical

2nd Grade will be performing our 2nd Grade Musical at the beginning of March (Exact date TBD!) Mr. Barnette would like students to practice their songs at home when they can, he recommends one song per day to help with memorization! Here are the links to the song:

Family Friday has started back up! Family Friday will be every Friday, unless it's an early release day at school. 

Our 2nd grade lunch is at 11:30-12:00.
