2nd Grade News: December 6th

Dear 2nd Grade Parents,

We’re gearing up for a festive celebration to spread some holiday cheer—and even the Grinch won’t be able to resist! Here’s everything you need to know about our upcoming Grinch-themed Holiday Party and how you can join in the fun:

🎨 Decorating Day
We’d love your help to make our party space look spectacular! Join us the day before for a Grinchy decorating session:
📅 Date: Wednesday, December 18th
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM

Just bring your holiday spirit, we’ll provide the Whoville flair! All helpers are welcome!

🎯 What to Bring for the Games
We’ll be playing a fun game that requires each student to bring:

A holiday themed mug

Please send this item to school with your child no later than Wednesday, December 18th to ensure we’re ready to play!

All studnets are encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy or canned good to our giving tree! There will be a small treat reward for the grade level that contributes the most!

Mustang Stampede Update:

Austin Mustangs have earned the Reindeer Run as of today!

We hit the $20,000 goal, we still have a ways to go to earn some of those other amazing incentives for the school, but we are excited and looking forward to the Reindeer Run color run, which will be held during the school day next Friday, December 13.

Today (at midnight!) is the last day for students to earn $50 in donations for the Mustang Stampede fundraiser in order to get the exclusive 2024 T-shirt in time for the Reindeer Run! Students who earn that will get their T-shirt after race day.

It is not too late to register your learner and earn incentives, the last day for donations will be December 16th at 11:59 PM.

Please send your child with a jacket every day with this cold weather! We know Texas weather is unpredictable so it's nice to be prepared! Please write your child's name on the tag so we know who it belongs to if they are left outside. Thank you!
